Alec was our ironman pitcher, giving us three strong innings (including six strikeouts) that we desperately needed in the first of our back-to-back games in mid-June, and then going 74 pitches against the Yankees later in the season. Rick says Alec has the most distinctive rally cry on the team; Rick thinks it sounds like a dying animal. Alec wins the “take-one-for-the-team” award, getting hit by more pitches than anyone else.
